Human Library at the University of Limoges

Our organisation was organiser of a Human Library at the University of Limoges on the 25th October 2012. There were a total of 63 participants.

“Human Library” is a tool used for fighting against discrimination and breaking stereotypes that the society has against some minority groups.

In our event we had the participation of 9 “human books” that shared their life experiences with other 58 readers that came to the University of Limoges. The topics of our books were Blind person, Deaf person, Homosexuality, Classicism bouble living in the XXIst century, Environmental Activist, Christians against slavery, Diabetic person, Lebanese Muslim and drugs addict woman.

This was an amazing experience to all participants because they never had experienced something like that before.

This activity will be repeated in other cities of France soon.
